MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Town of Calabash Town Services Department is to provide exceptional public services in a fiscally responsible manner to meet and exceed the needs of our residents, visitors, and business community, while maintaining the quality of life and character that is Calabash.

The Town Services Department assumes responsibility for the following tasks:

• Maintaining and repairing all Town owned paved and non-paved roadways including grading, scraping, asphalt, and pothole repairs.
• Maintaining all Town owned medians and right-of-ways.
• Maintaining, installing and repairing all Town owned signage including speed limits, detours, road closures, and hazards on all Town owned roadways.
• Evaluating existing street lights for maintenance, repair or service, and determining the need for placement of additional lighting.
• Collection and disposal of debris and garbage from all Town owned roadway right-of-ways.
• Cleaning, repairing, and maintaining all the storm water drains and Town owned catch basins.
• Conducts curb-side yard debris pick-up beginning the first Monday of each month for that week. Use the brown paper yard waste bags . . . plastic bags will not be accepted.
• Installation and removal of Town decorations during specified holidays.
• Maintaining and repairing all Town owned buildings.
• Maintaining and repairing all Town owned equipment.
• Responsible for notification to all vacant lot owners of the semi-annual vacant lot maintenance program and to perform maintenance, billed to the property owner if not maintained.
• Responsible for the removal of deceased animals on Town owned roadways, or within the roadway right-of-ways.
