Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan
The Town of Carolina Beach Town Council, Parks and Recreation Committee and Parks and Recreation Department staff are committed to sustaining and enhancing the overall quality of life for the citizens of Carolina Beach. The provision and operation of public parks, recreation and open space programs, services, areas and facilities are important components of the Town’s immediate and long-range planning efforts. With this in mind, we need your input and assistance by completing a needs assessment survey. Information gathered through this survey will be used to create the Town’s 2017 – 2022 Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan.
Community members can access the survey on the Town’s website at www.carolinabeach.org or directly through the following link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/cbparksandrec. The online survey will be available through August 1, 2016.
The purpose of the plan is to develop a Parks and Recreation Master Plan that will create a clear set of objectives and provide direction for development and enhancement of the Town’s parks and recreation system for a short-term, mid-term, and long-term range. Areas of focus include parks, trails, recreation programming, and amenities/facilities.
